Fibre broadband development in Europe

In the telecom field, we are focusing on the ongoing demand for fiber, for both European rural areas, as well as for the less developed areas of the world.

PSTO as a publicly traded stock empowers the facilitation of business development in this area more than ever before. We foresee that our public financial instrument would allow a structured and assertive participation in projects of grander magnitude.

PSTO plays a role in the opportunity of the disparity of connectivity in Europe and within Africa.

Via Infinity Supply we take an active participation to fibre related expansion projects, on the supply and on the deployment side.  Locally, we have two decades of tracked cooperation with clients and local system integrator partners.

EU funds can add extra dimension to rollout pace. 1/5 of the €723.8bn EU Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) plans to improve digital capabilities, with a prominent role for fibre deployment. Southern and Eastern European countries allocated most funding

The pace of fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) deployments in Europe varies by country, primarily due to differing costs of deployment, competitive dynamics and regulatory or political factors that incentivize deployment.

Africa will have 2.5 billion people in 2050, with internet traffic doubling every 18 months. Africans are quickly transitioning from 3G to 4G. 41% of Africa’s population is under the age of 15, thus soon 120 million new young consumers will have a huge impact on data usage.

Between 2020 and 2030 the world requires $428bn, of which 100bn in Africa to connect the remaining 3.4 billion people globally who are not yet connected to the internet. 500,000km of fibre in Africa
